Mastered Math 24? Now give Hardcore mode a try; this mode reflects how quickly Optiver expects you to solve each problem, but with a bit of forgiveness. You're given three lives, and as the timer elapses you'll lose one life. The run is over when you're out of lives. Time is now your enemy, and the stakes are higher.

How to play
  1. 1.You'll be shown 4 numbers. Build an expression using +, −, ×, ÷ and parentheses that uses each number exactly once and equals 24.
  2. 2.The run has 50 puzzles; 10 at each difficulty: Cooked, Easy, Medium, Hard, Cracked.
  3. 3.You have 3 lives and a 30-second timer per puzzle.
  4. 4.A wrong answer or running out of time costs a life. You'll retry the same puzzle.
  5. 5.Lose all 3 lives and the run is over.
  6. 6.Your score combines how many puzzles you solved with how long it took. Accuracy first, speed as the tiebreaker.
  7. 7.You can use your keyboard to enter numbers and operators (+-*/). Reset your current expression to revert the current puzzle without penalty.
