Quantitative Trading Industry Coach
The Role
getcracked.io is launching a 12-week mentorship program designed to help candidates break into quantitative trading. We're building a roster of experienced coaches to guide the next generation of quantitative trading talent across development, trading, research, and hardware.
We're looking for coaches who are currently working in quantitative trading, or who have substantial experience in the field, and are passionate about mentorship. This is a fully remote, flexible engagement requiring approximately 1.5 hours per week per mentee (at most).
Responsibilities
For each mentee you take on, you will:
Conduct a 1-hour onboarding call within 1–2 days of their enrollment to align on goals and assess their current level
Host weekly 1-hour coaching sessions, which may cover:
Mock technical and behavioral interview prep
Educational guidance and progress reviews
Portfolio project advising
Any topic where the mentee needs your expertise
Communicate with your mentee through getcracked's private communication channel
Oversee the development of one substantive, portfolio-worthy project per mentee, including scoping, ideation, and quality review (you guide the project; you don't build it)
Weekly sessions are scheduled at a time that works for both you and your mentee, but should be treated as a firm commitment. Any rescheduling due to unforseen circumstances can be privately discussed between you and the mentee.
Compensation
Coaches are engaged as independent contractors and compensated via a fixed monthly retainer, negotiated individually based on experience and mentee capacity.
